We have been busy.. no doubt there. We hosted Grandma Pat for a few days and had many visitors including my cousin Cassandra, cousin Sydney with twins Maxwell and Kelvin and big sister Tesla. Grammy and Grandpa Z have been by since our last posting as well as Claire's cousin McKenzie and Aunt Colleen to put together the diaper cake for Cassandra's baby shower. Auntie Anne had her friend spend the night and I've been back to work (actually at work!) a few of the past days this week and last.
We spent last weekend at Grammy and Grandpa Z's house with Colleen, McKenzie, Matthew, Andy, Alisa, etc. It was great! The food was fantastic! wow! Lots of fresh berries and incredible fresh herbs straight out of Grandpa's garden. The salmon was terrific as was the company.
This week seemed to fly by.. We are hoping next week does as well :) Next week is a week we have been looking forward to for nearly a year.. our house in under contract (Colorado House) and due to close on the 30th of July.. please keep your fingers crossed and prayers coming. We are sad to be closing our chapter of what truly can go down as a great year of our life - we just loved our Colorado experience and miss so much of what we had there...
We can't lose sight of the fact of what we have gained moving to Seattle though. I absolutely love my job here, being by family is fantastic and our little Claire is pretty amazing to boot :) (yes I realize we would have had her either place.. but for argument sake I'll think of her as a Seattle perk..)
We have been giving a lot of thought to where we want to move to eventually - we've decided to stay in the Beacon house for at least another year to give us time to scout out the best possible landing spot and to give Claire some time to grow up before we embark on a big move.
We have ventured out more this week - and not just at drive through Dairy Queens.. more dog park time, the grocery store and even a few sit down restaurants!
We had our 2 week check at the doctor while Grandma Pat was here - Claire was 9lbs 14 oz then and is bound to be over 10lbs now! Here is a picture from the 18th - lots of quality Tummy Time..

She is so beautiful! And she's changing so fast I can hardly believe it... I am just aching to be there, to see her face to face... So much love,
Auntie Shel
