Out for a stroll...

Well its another Sunny day in Seattle... yes.. it can be sunny here - yay!

So the girls and I (Claire & Breck) decided to drive down to the lake (Lake Washington) and go for a stroll. We parked at the Mt. Baker beach and walked all the way to the Arboreteum practically.. just over a 5 mile RT stroll. We even stopped for a latte at Starbucks on the way back.. Breck's first time being tied up outside of a public establishment - I am happy to report while she did yelp a few times she got lots of friendly pats by pass-er-by's.

We stopped at a park along the way to let Breck and Mom rest and to get little Claire out of the stroller for a bit and enjoy the view from the shade of a big tree.

The lake was calm, the breeze warm and fabulous. Breck was a good girl and so was Claire. (no I'm not strangling her.. she is getting very good at holding her head up.. but needs a little propping from under neath occasionally... )

We stopped at another park in Leschi to admire the sail boats and meet a friendly pooch that wanted to play with Breck. With all the puppy play Claire decided to stay in the stroller at this park. The lake shore is a beautiful place with a few wonderful neighborhoods. Lots of infants, toddlers, moms and dads playing in the sand and water. A few fun birthday parties with large inflatable toys sprinkled along the shore today. Lots of BBQ's and people just out enjoying the day. Perhaps someday we'll live along the shore...

We're home now and planning an outing to Costco this evening.. who would have guessed life would be so "planned" one day. While we attempt to get back into the swing of things I am realizing that regardless of how hard we try it will always still take an average of 2 hours to get out of the house.. hardly the grab the keys and "we're off" lifestyle we had before. But the change is a good one. :)
