Saturday was a busy day! The twins are officially 3 weeks old. Hooray!
So for their 3 week celebration/birthday we had a troupe of family through today: auntie Anne kicked off the day in fabulous fashion by bringing over breakfast supplies and making a YUMMY pancake, bacon & eggs breakfast. Wow! We really need to get serious about that family compound, Annie is super domestic and churns out yummy meals on a regular basis! I need to get on that gravy train.
Next Uncle Matthew, Aunt Colleen, Ben and McKenzie stopped in on their way to Snoqualmie Pass for tubing. It was great to see the family and introduce them all to the twins! Aunt Colleen was able to visit when Ella and I were in the post-partum unit but Conor was up in the NICU. Aunt Colleen put together an incredible care package for us with lasagne, bread, rise, a crock pot meal, rice and all sorts of goodies! Yum!!
Then Aunt Michele, Glenn and James arrived for the day. And To round it out Grammy and Grandpa stopped in too! G&G brought meatloaf and banana bread. I'm currently snacking on the banana bread while writing these posts and savored a meatloaf sandwich for lunch this afternoon! YUM! We are so very thankful for everyone's support and well wishes!
Michele, Glenn & James headed off to like place while we settled in for the day. The weather has been surprisingly foggy. It's really quite beautiful in a nautical / mystical way.
When Glenn, Michele and James returned they put together a super yummy yams, roasted vegetables and all around fabulous meal :)
It's been absolutely wonderful having Michele, Glenn and James in town. Claire and James are so wonderful together. Claire really looks up to James like a big brother. And I've always said Michele brings a sense of calm wherever she is. & It's so wonderful to welcome Glenn to Seattle for the first time (of many trips hopefully!)
