We spent last weekend up in a condo with Grandma & Grandpa Zaremba along with Grandma Pat. It was pretty cool to have both Grandma's in the same place! I took Friday off work and we headed north. It was a beautiful sunny Seattle day when we headed up and we arrived at the Bay to some stormy weather. But when we awoke Saturday the sun had followed us up! We had an amazing day driving around seeing the sights, harvest festivals, good food, beautiful colors in the leaves and a crazy trip across a small waterway in an even smaller ferry.. so crazy in fact that nearly the only pictures taken the entire weekend were of the super small "ferry" that yes.. cars were loaded on.. it was nothing more than a giant life preserver with 15 cars stacked on.. I won't go into the dramatic details.... but the ride was worth it - Lummi island was incredibly cute, picturesque and a perfect adventure for the entire family..jpg)
Grandma and Grandpa in the front seat of the car on the ferry.. looking down at the water in front of us....
Claire has started to sleep on her side. As soon as you put her down she's rolling over and over which is non stop entertainment. But it is pretty cute to come in to her room in the morning and shes not only scooted down in her crib but is completely flipped around and lying on her side. I can't imagine how much she's moving to get to that point. The picture above is her in her pack n play at the condo over the weekend.
We continue to frequent the dog park. If the fall is any indication of our winter life will be wonderful. The last few weeks have just been perfect. A little rain, fog and cloudy mornings but all in all beautiful crisp fall days. Having Grandma Pat here has been so wonderful. We have been cooking more and spending lots of quality time together as a family. We had a play moment at the new day care (sad....) Where Chris and I took Claire in for a meet and greet of sorts. We just put her on the ground and had her look around the room. Next week we are going to take her in and leave her there for a few hours..... then November 3rd.. is her first full day. They have a great program and wonderful providers so we are excited about those aspects. Some of her roommates are crawling and almost toddling.. so perhaps Claire will learn from her new friends. She loves her PEPs group friends so we'll see how she does. (we'll see how mommy does...)
A fun weekend of dog parks, family get togethers and walks through the park is ahead. Life has been going good. Its just crazy to think how far we have come and how far we have to go!

Leaving them at daycare full time is always harder on the mom than the child. She will do great and be so excited to see you it will make the day without her just disappear. Cant wait to see her again she has gotten sooo big!!
