2nd Cousins

This Autumn in Seattle is really spoiling us. The sky has been a perfect blue with a bright shiny sun all weekend. We met aunt patti for breakfast on Saturday at our favorite breakfast location in Columbia City - Geraldines Counter and headed to the dog park with a few errands in between. Sunday we enjoyed seeing new mommy Cassandra and daddy Chris with 2nd Cousin Olivia. Claire was so curious of little Olivia and once she discovered that Olivia's fist fit in her mouth better than her own did - it was best friends forever.


More time at the dog park. With the weather too perfect to miss... we made a few trips. Amazingly Claire sleeps through just about anything and everything. She naps as we stroll through the dog park, puppies barking, ground bumping, children shouting, adults calling out. She's like her mommy in that respect... she could sleep through a rock concert if the conditions were comfy enough.

Tomorrow happens to be Claire's pediatricians birthday (also known as the medical director in one of the clinics I manage at the UW.) So we decided to do a personalized birthday card for him before bedtime this evening. So Happy Birthday Dr. Wright! Claire will be in later this week for her 4 month check up and immunizations.
Halloween is Friday! Our little Claire bear is excited to debut her bear costume. Cousin McKenzie is going to be piglet and Claire just happens to have a Pooh'ish bear costume.. we're planning to head out to trick or treat at Uncle Matthew and Aunt Colleens house so hopefully we'll get some cute pictures.

Only a few more days left with Grandma Pat. We are already super sad - not only to say goodbye (but only for a few weeks - Claire's first plane trip is coming up soon!).... but the reality of daycare is loomy over mommy like the gray clouds I expected to be filling the Seattle sky.
