Claire Alida Herrman was born on Sunday June 29th at 11:27am. 5 days "late" she weighed 8lbs 11oz, is 21.5 inches long and has a head circumference of 14.5 cm. She has a full head of brownish red hair and big wide eyes.

We were admitted with progressing contractions at 3:30am on Sunday and discharged today (monday) at 1pm.

While I'm not going to be the one to say labor was "uneventful" for all intensive purposes I guess it was.. I'll just leave it at it might be a little to early to start thinking about siblings for cute little Claire.
Grandma Z, Aunt Colleen and Uncle Matthew visited us just after her arrival. Matthew and Colleen were at the airport checking in for their trip up to Banff for a few days when they quickly hopped a cab, delayed their departure and came to meet the newest Zaremba.. and Grandma stole away from a day at the fireworks stand to come meet her...
Thanks to a wireless connection at the hospital we were able to video conference in Grandma Pat and Grandpa Dan after getting settled into our room.. it was wonderful to have family around - in whatever possible capacity and we thank all for stopping by.

It's great to be home.. we will go pick puppy up tomorrow from Doggie Camp and hope that she is as excited about our newest arrival as we are.
