The First's just keep coming...

These last few weeks have been full of "firsts".

Not only has the weather been amazing and not just according to Seattle standards.. this winter has had an unbelievable amount of sunny days. So today we ventured out to the park down the street and Claire had her first swing ride! She really enjoyed it and Breck really enjoyed the great park... that we are so sad we didn't go to more often while up on Beacon Hill.


Last weekend was Claire's first trip to the beach, first chocolate fest and first pancake firehouse breakfast! Here's Dad & Grandma enjoying chocolate pancakes at the chocolate fest pancake breakfast at Pacific Beach!

Claire's first walk on the beach was more exciting for Breck and the rest of us.. as she fell asleep almost immediately! The combination of the fresh ocean air and being all warm and snug in her stroller cocoon did the trick.. who wouldn't want to snuggle up and sleep in those conditions!

Unstaged - Claire has been extremely mobile over the last few weeks going from a crawling position to full on sprinting in the crawl position in a matter of hours it felt like. She gets from one room to another before I realize she's on the move... the baby proofing has begun in full force. Now she is pulling herself up on the stairs, her activity table and other appropriate height items :) She is really enjoying her strong legs. Claire has also pushed out a few more teeth. We are now at at least 4 with most of the white showing... two on top and the two on the bottom. Its really cute to watch her eat her cheese, cheerios and other finger foods and actually chew a little on them.

We are winding down our time at the Beacon house with our sellers having signed their side of the documents on Friday and assuming no more surprises in the buying process we are set to sign documents on Monday... we are super excited and can't wait to move into the new place - here's hoping for a fun party once we've settled in - just in time for Mom's birthday! So much work ahead of us... packing and moving is a bit overwhelming.. but the thought of being done in 7 days or so will carry me through - especially with Grandma's help next weekend watching over Claire we'll be sure to get things done!
